Effective environmental monitoring requires a thorough understanding of the facility use, people and material flows, as well as a considered approach to obtaining meaningful and accurate data.  This course covers the subject in detail, balancing classroom based theory sessions with practical workshops on the identification of high risk areas, media selection and validation and data review.

Terms and Conditions:

Cancellations received and confirmed by the Honeyman will incur a 20% fee up until 31 working days before the start date of the course, after which a sliding scale of further cancellation fees will be applied. No refund will be made for cancellations within 10 working days of the course start date and the full course fee will be due for delegates who fail to attend, (even if the course fee has yet to be received).

Substitutions may be made at any time up to the start of the course, free of charge.

Delegates completing the Accredited Specialist training will incur a 20% cancellation (received in writing and confirmed by Honeyman) fee up until 31 working days before the start date of the course, after which the full course fee will be due.

Cheques and Bank Transfers are to be cashed prior to booking confirmation.

We reserve the right to charge an administration fee to delegates who wish to have their place transferred to another course.

Reservations not confirmed by payment by the course start date will be allocated to any persons on a waiting list.

We reserve the right to change the programme, speakers, date or venue without notice, or to cancel an event.

In the unlikely event of cancellation occurring, delegates will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a full refund of fees paid.

Honeyman is not responsible for transportation, accommodation or other costs incurred.

Research and Training boasts a state-of-the-art GMP pilot plant facility which brings together in-depth lecture-based training programmes with realistic, ‘GMP-simulated’ practical experience. The large scale pilot plant suites have been designed to incorporate a high-value training experience, whilst maintaining the highest standards of health and safety with comfortable and fully equipped, modern lecture/seminar rooms and interactive learning spaces

The key functional components of the pilot plant facilities include:

Pilot Plant: Upstream Bioprocessing

  • Inoculum preparation laboratory c/w 2 Biological Safety Cabinets
  • Shake flasks and 2 wavebag trains (up to 20L)
  • 15L, 30L, 2 x 150L bioreactors with support vessels (media hold and harvest )
  • Vessels capable of batch & fed-batch operation with 30L capable of perfusion
  • Facility for future disposable bioreactors
  • Harvest MF and centrifuge system
  • Culture Clarification

Pilot Plant: Downstream Bioprocessing

  • UF/DF skids
  • Chromatography skid including column packing skid
  • Vessels for pH viral inactivation
  • Viral filtration equipment
